The annual report is a forward-looking estimate based on the year’s regular reporting, facts on the ground, scholarly assessments, and other relevant sources. It seeks to answer carefully selected questions on CCP regime trends that are of considerable importance to the China watching community, and produces key judgements on medium to long-term developments accordingly. The report will incorporate outside scholarly input as well as the Initiative’s own analytical assessments.
